Abstract

Paper examines the public spaces in rural settlements. It evaluates their problems, and indicates the current transformation of the main requirements for their architectural and urban design. The objective is to get memorable, living, active public spaces, full of people who want to stay in them as long as possible, to feel comfortable and safe.
