For good hydraulic properties and relative low initial costs, fixed-cone valves belong between most widely used bottom outlet valves. To ensure safe operations of dams is important to direct the outflow jet by appropriate shaped chamber to outlet trough. Article shows conclusions from tests of discharge chambers, which have been done on reduced hydraulic model.
